Creating Great Customer Experiences

Field of Study: Business Management & Organization
Sponsor: Intuit ProConnect
Speakers: Jorge Olavarrieta, Marty McCutchen, Jean Caragher, Mitch Reno

Our discussions and our training sessions are usually focused on the services we provide, the skills we possess, the software we use, the efficiencies we offer – the concept of the customer experience is often left out of the discussion. But when you’re the customer, whether you are making a purchase in a store or online, or trying to get the answers to questions, or requesting services from an expert – how you feel about the experience plays a part in your opinion of the quality of the transaction, and it certainly translates into whether you’ll recommend the experience to others or whether you’ll continue to use that service provider in the future. How can we as accountants make sure our customers are having an exceptional experience along with getting the best service we can provide?

But so many of the technology solutions that businesses use impact the financial reporting process. Therefore, defining the role of accountants as it pertains to technology is crucial – but what does that entail? And if that doesn’t describe you, what are your options for being an outstanding advisor but maybe one without the best technology skillset? This session’s panel will discuss what you need to know about technology in order to best serve your clients, ways in which you can get that knowledge, and how to make the technology connection with your clients when you yourself aren’t the technology guru they might be expecting.
